So here's my portfolio and resume. Did a few changes from the last critique. Took away the underlind, made the title smaller because it was competing with some of the work. Add a couple more pages and also an ending page. I like how my resume is right now so I didn't really do much. Also, I didn't really know how to upload it so I saved it as a JPG. That's why the words and everything is so close to the edge. The printed version isn't so just ignored that.
Hi all! If you want to use this dimensional effect, go to:
XServ > GD_Second_Year > Student_Storage >spreadshadows.indd,
it's CS3/CS4 compatible, just open and copy/paste to your files!
Also, if you want to make it yourself, the gradient looks like this:
Inside spread shadow
(to create more colors, click on the blank spot below the continuum that reflects the shade you want)
Then, to finish it up, put the gradient at 20% opacity, and add a gradient feather (under fx) set up like this:
And there you have it, (or you can just copy my file) :D
Here is an updated version of my PDF Port. I added a couple more projects and images, sized things differently to fill more of the space and worked on descriptions. Although I fixed most of the projects that were blurry or pixelated, 2 of the greeting cards are still appearing horribly. Grr. They were created in photoshop, I opened them in illustrator and saved them out from there. They appear fine in my indesgn doc as an illustrator file, but when I pdf it is goes screwy again. I'll bring my questions tomorrow :)
If you are laying out images of spreads or pages or brochures somewhere like in portfolio, consider this dimentional effect that will make your work pop out of page and instead of plain static images you will have dynamic effect that will bring more interest to your work.
